If you’re anything like me, your journey towards becoming a blogger is going to be an arduous one.

This is definitely an interesting time to be alive. Like with the advent of the cellphone, we may not quite realize that we are sitting at a tipping point in time where the world is about to change, drastically, forever.
The Online Economy
In all truth, these changes have already happened and are continuing to happen at an increasing rate. If you do not spend a lot of time on the internet and following tech companies, it is quite easy to live your life quite aloof to the monumental shifts that are happening at this point in time.
We are sitting on the precipice of what is being called the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Although blogging is more a product of the Third Industrial Revolution, I definitely think careers like blogging and the online economy will experience a surge as the fourth revolution gains momentum.
My background is in engineering, but I ended up in a corporate environment for many years. For us, the mental shift on how to view careers is probably harder than most. These shifts in the economy (the growing of the digital economy and eminent fourth revolution) will majorly disturb careers and we have come to know them. You and I need to be ready to survive in a digital era. Blogging is an easy way in.
